SOYMILK CELL; 13th JAN 2007
Heres an update on the last SOYMILK cell here in Singapore!!!
Cell group was awesome yesterday! SOYMILK first cell of the new year was really large. About 21 people! Glad that most of the people could make it. Well, here's the update, so that for those who missed out will know what is happening. Cell was held at Evangeline's home. As usual, we mingled around, talked about the week, made char yen, played the guitar...etc. I guess this is what helps SOYMILK to bond. We had quite a number of guests for cell namely, Jesmine, Landice, Mervin , and Si Ming. Really thank God for SOYMILK's growth in numbers.
Cell started with accountability time. We all wrote down the stuff that happened during our week and what we were thankful for. Then we exchanged what we wrote, and read out each others notes.
There were more changes to cell as we carried on. We sang songs. And then we had a time of reflection to prepare our hearts. I think it's a good change from all the bustle of the world. After that time of silence, we continued to praise God.
Aaron did the lesson this week. Aaron shared about how his friend struggle to find God and feels like God has abandoned him. We took time off to reflect on the sharing. Then we split into groups and discussed about the sharing. I'm sure everyone gained something new during the sharing.
Some of us had a time of meditation while waiting for one of the group to finish. After lesson, we had a little activity for throughout the week. We wrote our prayer needs down on paper, then we randomly picked another person's needs up. We prayed for their needs as well as our's and this will also be the prayer for us to keep throughout the week. We ended Cell by assigning roles for the next cell group and finished off by singing two songs.
After cell, we had dinner. Really have to thank Aunty Ai Cheng, Aaron and Evangeline for preparing the food and being such good hosts. We all put our hands together to try making popiah. Then we just chatted with each other, sang songs... basically fellowshipped :)
