Hey everyone, the three interns here. We've been having a great experience in Chiang Mai. Tomorrow, we'll be going up to a mountain tribe, called Baw Gaew. We'll be there from tomorrow afternoon till the afternoon after. So the next update will be on Saturday with a report on Baw Gaew.
We woke up today and got ready for our trip to Mc Kean hospital. Mc Kean hospital was a place for lepers and still is, with an addition to extending their treatment for other illnesses. The patients are already treated and therefore they are not contagious.
When we got to the hospital, we were given a short history of Mc Kean hospital. We were then given a tour of the hospital. We were brought to a workshop where the patients worked to earn money for themselves. We were told that the patients were happier to work because they could feel of use.
We were then brought to a souvenir shop where they sold the works of the patients.
After that, we headed to perform for some of the patients. We also spoke to them and tried to find out more about them.
We had a good experience.
We headed for Khaow soi (food) after Mc Kean. The lunch was good.
We returned to the zone after lunch. We had our Spiritual disciplines sharing with P. Robert. Kenneth was facilitating. The topic today was on study. A good quote: "Truth alone will not set us free, but knowledge of the truth will set us free."
After the sharing, we helped out in preparing food for zone pro cell group. Zone pro cell group usually include dinner. And the dinner is made by the Thais.
Dinner was good.
We had cell group after dinner. It was a good time of singing praises, having fellowship, and listening to God's word.
