We're back from Baw Gaew. Had a great experience up there.
Danny, Kenneth and Kevin had a great Spiritual disciplines sharing session with P. Robert today. We studied on the discipline, simplicity. "So, the main focus for the Discipline of simplicity is to seek the kingdom of God and the righteousness of His kingdom of God and the righteousness of His kingdom first and then everything necessary will come in it's proper order."
The three interns, the Japanese group and a few Thais headed up to Baw Gaew this afternoon. Baw Gaew is a mountain that Payap visits quite regularly. The main purpose of these visits is usually to hold english camps for the students in Baw Gaew. It is also to meet the Christians who worship at Baw Gaew church.
The journey was about three hours. We entertained ourselves and also rested during the journey.
When we got to the school at Baw Gaew, we were greeted by an enthusiastic group of children. The children were definitely anticipating the fun that we were going to have. The Japanese sang a few songs for them. And then the time of fun began.
We lead a few games. It was a joy to see how happy the children were. We spoke to some of the children. It was a good experience.
We had dinner at a shop nearby. And then headed to a Christian family's home for a devotion session. Junichi shared about how he became a Christian and P. Robert shared about the topic baptiam. Kenneth did a good job leading songs.
After the devotion, we had supper. Our hosts was roti stall owner. And we had delicious roti. But what made it even more delicious was the fellowship we were having while eating.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 09, 2006
We woke up today and got out of our sleeping bags. We had a good breakfast made by the host. And then we all had our time with God and with nature.
After that, we assembled at the house again and had a devotional. This time Oi was sharing about how she got baptised. It was an encouraging account. Kenneth did a good job leading songs again.
Now Kenneth and Kevin are the only ones left in the zone. We needed to prepare for tomorrow's lesson on 1 Corinthians 13 and therefore were left behind (volunteerily) to prepare. The rest have gone to airport plaza to take neo prints, eat dinner and shop.
