3 More Days
Hey everyone, sorry for the late update. Been busy and tired. But we have 3 updates today. 3 updates, 3 more days.
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2006
We woke up early and headed to P. Ruang's house. We continued our lessons on the Red book. Today's lesson was on "What is Sin?" A good quote from the lesson is " Whenever we look at things from God's perspective, we see that we are all sinners - we're all in need of God's help." The sharing was the last we were having with P. Ruang. The friendship with P. Ruang has been great.
After the lesson with P. Ruang we headed back to the zone. It was time for the Spiritual disciplines meeting with P. Robert. The discipline today is confession. "Honesty leads to confession, and confession leads to change.
The three interns had an accountability time. We shared with each other our up's and down's in life and during our trip. It was a good experience.
We spent the rest of the day hanging out with the Thais.
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 2006
We started the day with Spiritual disciplines. The discipline today is worship. "Worship is simply a response to the loving heart of the Father."
After that, we went behind the zone to have a prayer walk. It was just a small group this time, about eight people. The experience was good. It was a different experience from the one with the Japanese group. This time we had nature surrounding us.
We had lunch at MK after the prayer walk. The food was delicious.
After lunch, we headed to Payap campus to do outreach. We "intruded" in on an english class in Payap. One of the Thai christians happened to be a teacher. We played games with the students and had conversations with them.
We got some contacts from the english class and we had a great time.
We headed back to the zone. Then we left for Woot's house. Woot's house is in the mountains. So the journey was interesting. We stopped by at the market to get some stuff on the way to Woot's house.
When we got to Woot's house, some of us cooked up a feast. Then we had fellowship and ate.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2006
Today was an eventful day. We thank P. Jan and P. Robert for taking us out to eat really delicious noodles for lunch. We thank the Thais for bringing us out to eat good food for dinner. We pray for baby Nicole, whom we visited in the hospital.
But the event that impacted us the most today was the funeral of baby Shine. We hope that you all can pray for the family of Shine.
